Herd Competition 2008

Each year the Club runs a herd competition open to members typically in the following categories, although the break points can be adjusted according to entries received : -

 Small herd  -  less than 10 breeding cows

 Medium Herd - 11 - 30 breeding cows

 Large Herd – 31 – 80 breeding cows

 Extra Large Herd – over 80 breeding cows

Certificates are awarded to the 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd in each category with a memento being given to the 1^st.

 Additionally mementos are awarded to :-

Best overall herd

Best Heifer calf under 1 year

Best Bull calf under 1 year

Best Stock Bull and Progeny

Best Cow and Calf

Points Competition Winner

Points competition winner is based on 10 points for 1^st, 7 points for 2^nd and 5 points for 3^rd  at the following shows :-

Lincolnshire, Norfolk, Rutland, Herts, East of England, Suffolk, Newark and Leicester.
